Kim Archer (our gorgeous lead vocalist) and myself spent several hours with Carl at Bare Bones on Jan 24th laying clean vox for several tracks for me to mix over the arrangements I had previously completed at my home facility.

Firstly, I have to say that Carl is an absolute pleasure to work with. We very efficiently got to the results we were looking for without stress or any complications at all. So much so that we laid 19 tracks worth of lead vox in just over four hours!

Secondly, the facilities at Bare Bones are very comprehensive and professional yet still relaxed and accessible, so that a band can get stuff done while still having fun, which all goes towards a better recording and production experience in my book.

Finally, regarding fees, we were very pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the rates are and at how accommodating Carl is. We will definitely be working with Carl again, in fact we are in the process of prepping the next bunch of material we will be recording at BB.

I have to say my experience at Bare Bones has been 1st class. Carl Dawson is very helpful in all that he does. I use the studio to record and nothing is a problem. Every one I've met there are friendly and supportive, you are in a friendly and a professional environment. I give it top marks.

Bare Bones is a bit of a hidden treasure!
Not only are they a very professional recording studio, they have great facilities for hire and are very friendly and helpful. I've held Life Coaching sessions in a wonderfully ambient and relaxing room there, home educators music sessions, and I'm also looking forward to holding Laughter Clubs there too! Great service. Highly recommended.

I've been a regular at Barebones for over a year . Great facilities and very helpful and friendly staff. The whole place has a relaxed and easy going atmos. Try it for yourself....

Excellent rates including the loan of any amps/mikes etc, modern, clean and great sounding rooms. Free tea! Carl is helpful, friendly, modest and downright nice all rounder. We enjoy the rehearsal experience, there is no pressure.

I have been recording at Bare Bones for over a year now and not only is it a fabulous place to record and I feel very comfortable there, Carl is brilliant and gets my sound off to a T without any fuss whatsoever...he's also a genius guitarist which is very helpful too.

Could not recommend Bare Bones more !!! The rates are bloody good too and worth more than double in my opinion and look forward to recording more songs there.

this is the best studio ive ever been to and its the best in stevenage if u ask me. nice pepole u feel welcomed and u can have a laugh the owner is very down to earth not like any other studio i been to. ur first rehersal is free so anyone who plays should come check this cool place out trust you will use it again and again equipment is good as well
